Hero MotoCorp and Zero Motorcycles Agree to Collaborate on New Premium Electric Vehicles

Hero the Indian motorcycle company and the largest per unit motorcycle manufacturer in the world, has signed an agreement to collaborate with Zero Motorcyles – an LA based electric motorcycle and drivetrain manufacturer, in a move promising great interest in the EV bike world.

Hero hopes that this agreement will accelerate their move into clean technology and have approved a US$60 million equity investment in Zero Motorcycles.

Zero CEO Sam Paschel was equally enthused in declaring that they were looking forward to delivering exceptional ‘value, performance and fun for their customers’.

Zero already have a comprehensive range of electric motorcycles featuring many innovative designs so are the perfect partner in an EV future for Hero.

Hero stated that they wanted to hasten the transition to electric mobility in India but also across global markets, so perhaps Hero see this as an opportunity to gain a larger foothold outside of India, while becoming an EV innovation leader.
