History
Australian Motorcyclist Magazine was launched in 2013 by JRP Thoeming, better known as Peter “The Bear” Thoeming, a well-respected figure in the motorcycle journalism world, and Stuart Woodbury. Thoeming, with decades of experience in the industry, was passionate about creating a publication that resonated deeply with Australian riders, offering a uniquely local perspective on the motorcycle scene. The magazine was born out of a desire to provide comprehensive coverage of motorcycles and riding, from reviews and news to ride reports, with a focus on both the practical and adventurous aspects of motorcycling across Australia’s diverse landscapes.
In 2023, Clemenger Media Sales / Clemenger Consulting acquired Australian Motorcyclist Magazine and Adventure Rider Magazine, and has since continued to invest in both our digital and print editions.
Clemenger has expanded our editorial team to enhance our content while retaining all of our previous editors and contributors. As we shift toward a more video-centric, global, and proactive approach, we’ve welcomed several guest editors. With each feature, we carefully curate contributions to ensure our readers receive the highest quality content tailored to their interests and needs.
