Escape Anywhere – V-Strom 650XT

Following on from the introduction of V-Strom 1000 ABS, Suzuki proudly presents the newest line of motorcycle in its V-Strom adventure-touring range. 12 years after the birth of the V-Strom series, the V-Strom 650XT cross-touring stretches the riding horizons.

The V-Strom 650 is already known as a great touring machine. The V-Strom 650XT model expands its versatility with spoked aluminium wheels, more adventurous styling and wider range of accessories.

The newly designed, spoked aluminium wheel rims, manufactured by DID, are light weight, provide sporty appearance with enhanced shock absorption performance at low speeds.

Like its 1000cc big brother, the V-Strom 650XT receives the beak-like front cowl which reflects Suzuki’s adventurous spirit and is inspired by the 1988 DR-Z ridden by former motocross world champion Gaston Rahier in the Paris-Dakar rally.

The V-Strom 650XT’s four-stroke, DOHC, 645cm3 90-degree V-twin engine is ready for full-range riding enjoyment. It offers the distinctive beat feel of a V-twin, ample torque for easy handling at low and mid-range revs, and powerful performance at the high end of the rev range. A broad powerband makes for smooth going on steep mountain passes, open highways, and crowded city streets. Plus, great fuel economy ensures a class-leading* riding range.

The Australian spec model will be equipped with genuine Suzuki hand-guards, engine under cowling and engine protection bars for the rigors of off-road adventure riding.

The Suzuki V-Strom 650XT is expected to hit Australian dealerships in early 2015, with Suzuki announcing pricing details and full specifications closer to launch.
