Ducati 2020 Streetfighter V4 has been officially revealed for the first time.

Essentially a stripped down Panigale V4, sharing the engine and electronics package, together with an aggressive design with two wings on either side of the bike to no doubt help keep that front wheel down!

The Streetfighter V4 will be available in two versions, the base Streetfighter V4 and the Streetfighter V4 S. As with the Panigale V4 and V4 S, the higher-spec naked gets Öhlins electronic suspension, Öhlins steering damper, and lightweight Marchesini wheels. Both versions are powered by the 1103cc Desmosedici Stradale engine from the V4 Panigale. In standard trim, the unit produces 153kW (208hp) at 12,750 rpm, and 123Nm at 11,500 rpm, meaning engine performance is in line with the standard V4 Panigale. As expected, Ducati has tweaked the fuel and throttle maps for the new bike, delivering rear wheel torque 10% up on the Panigale. For those that feel that 153kW simply isn’t enough, Ducati offers the option to fit the race-kit Akrapovic exhaust system which will increase power to 164kW (220hp) and 130Nm.

The must-have for any high-performance motorcycle this year are winglets. It has two sets of what Ducati are calling biplane wings, mounted on each side of the bike’s side panels. Ducati claim that these wings can generate 28kg of downforce at 270km/h. The wings are also credited with helping to cool the engine.

Indian Motorcycle, America’s first motorcycle company, today announced its 2020 heavyweight lineup, packed with a host of new features and benefits. With the Thunder Stroke 116 engine now available in select models, a completely redesigned Ride Command system, and the introduction of the aggressively-styled Roadmaster Dark Horse and redesigned Springfield Dark Horse, the Indian Motorcycle 2020 heavyweight lineup is bigger, better and badder than ever.
“The majority of these new features and upgrades are a result of our consistent communication with riders, listening to their feedback and incorporating it wherever possible in our ongoing product development efforts,” said Reid Wilson – Vice President for Indian Motorcycle. “Today’s rider wants more power and expects cutting-edge technology, all packaged in a modern look that’s tough and aggressive. That’s exactly what we’re delivering in 2020.”

Thunder Stroke 116
For the first time in the company’s history, Indian Motorcycle will offer the Thunder Stroke engine in a 116 cubic-inch variation. Straight from the factory, the new 116 cubic-inch air-cooled V-Twin engine features a new high-flow cylinder head – delivering class-leading performance with 168 Nm of torque. The Thunder Stroke 116 will now be standard in the majority of Indian Motorcycle’s lineup, including Springfield Dark Horse, Chieftain Dark Horse, Chieftain Limited, Chieftain Elite, Roadmaster and Roadmaster Dark Horse.
Ride Command*
For 2020, Indian Motorcycle introduces the new Ride Command – a completely redesigned version of its industry-leading infotainment system. Still measuring seven inches, with glove-touch technology, Ride Command features a new quad-core processor to provide the fastest infotainment experience available. New features include Ride Command featuring Google-like, predictive destination search capabilities and improved customisable ride screens. Indian Motorcycle’s Ride Command is the industry’s largest, fastest and most-customisable infotainment system on two wheels.
Roadmaster Dark Horse
Drawing inspiration from the overwhelmingly successful Chieftain Dark Horse, the Roadmaster Dark Horse brings a modern and aggressive attitude to Indian Motorcycle’s premium touring motorcycle. With blacked-out finishes and just enough chrome to stand out from the 2020 lineup, the Roadmaster Dark Horse features a streamlined fairing, slammed saddlebags, 19-inch front wheel with an open fender, an extended reach Rogue gunfighter seat, blacked-out engine and matte paint color schemes. Powering this mean touring machine is the Thunder Stroke 116, while premium touring amenities abound, including a touring trunk, lower fairings, heated grips and a mid-adjustable windscreen.
Springfield Dark Horse
Following extremely positive rider feedback from the 2020 Jack Daniel’s Limited Edition Indian Springfield Dark Horse that was launched at Daytona Bike, Indian Motorcycle is now offering a similar design package for the 2020 Springfield Dark Horse. While the Thunder Stroke 116 delivers unrivaled power, the bike gains an enormous level of attitude with slammed saddlebags, Rogue seat, 12-inch mini apes and premium blacked-out finishes.
Chieftain Elite
As it has with previous iterations, the Chieftain Elite is an ultra-premium bagger – combining style, technology and performance. For the first time in the Chieftain Elite’s history, the ultra-premium bagger will feature Indian Motorcycle’s modern and aggressive body styling, including the streamlined fairing and slammed saddlebags. The 2020 Chieftain Elite packs the Thunder Stroke 116 and Indian Motorcycle’s booming PowerBand Audio Plus system with integrated fairing and saddlebag speakers. PowerBand Audio produces crystal-clear sound that is 50% louder than Indian Motorcycle’s standard audio system. The 2020 Chieftain Elite’s premium styling includes a two-tone Thunder Black Vivid Crystal over Wildfire Candy paint with matching motor highlights and badging, Precision Machined Elite wheels, Pinnacle Mirrors, Select Rider Floorboards, and a Flare Windshield.
Furthermore, the complete 2020 heavyweight lineup features additional updates. First, the Chief Dark Horse and Chief Vintage will now share the same chassis as the Springfield and Springfield Dark Horse. The result is improved handling and an adjustable rear suspension for both Chief models. Secondly, the Springfield and Chief Dark Horse will each come standard with a 17-inch front wheel for improved stability. Lastly, the 2020 Roadmaster receives a lighter weight and redesigned trunk rack for added style.

Colour options for each 2020 heavyweight model are as follows:
• Chief Dark Horse: Thunder Black Smoke
• Chief Vintage: Thunder Black; Willow Green over Ivory Cream
• Springfield: Thunder Black; Burgundy Metallic over Titanium Metallic
• Springfield Dark Horse: Thunder Black Smoke; Sagebrush Smoke; White Smoke
• Chieftain Dark Horse: Thunder Black Smoke; Ruby Smoke; Titanium Smoke
• Chieftain Limited: Thunder Black Pearl; Radar Blue; Thunder Black Pearl with graphics package
• Chieftain Elite: Thunder Black Vivid Crystal over Wildfire Red Candy
• Roadmaster: Thunder Black; Burgundy Metallic; Pearl White over Titanium Metallic with black Pinstripe; Titanium Smoke over Thunder Black Smoke with silver pinstripe
• Roadmaster Dark Horse: Thunder Black Smoke; White Smoke; Ruby Smoke

Indian Motorcycle’s 2020 lineup of performance accessories for the Thunder Stroke 111 and Thunder Stroke 116 significantly modify the overall look, sound, and performance of each engine. The Stage 1 Slip-On Exhaust, available in black or chrome, improves sound for both the Thunder Stroke 111 and Thunder Stroke 116. Indian Motorcycle’s new Stage 1 Oval Slip-On Muffler Kit and Stage 1 Performance Air Intake together increase horsepower by 4% with the Thunder Stroke 111 and 8% with the Thunder Stroke 116. By adding the Stage 2 Performance Cams, riders will gain 13% more horsepower when compared to a stock Thunder Stoke 111. The Thunder Stroke 116 Stage 2 Performance Kit, which includes cams, higher flowing fuel injectors and throttle body, produce a 17% horsepower boost when paired with both Stage 1 accessories. Riders can also upgrade any Indian Motorcycle model packing the Thunder Stroke 111 with its Thunder Stroke 116 Stage 3 Big Bore Kit, which produces 20% more horsepower when compared to a stock Thunder Stroke 111.
For riders looking to add additional passenger accommodations, Indian Motorcycle offers Headdress Passenger Floorboard Pads for added cushion to combat road vibration and match the currently available Headdress Rider Floorboard Pads, 12” Quick Release Passenger Sissy Bar and a new, more modern-styled Passenger Backrest Pad. Additionally, Indian Motorcycle will offer 12-inch Ape Hanger Handlebars for all Chief and Springfield models.
Riders can learn more or test ride by visiting a local Indian Motorcycle dealership.

all-day any-gear effortless riding, two-up or on your own.

The new Rocket 3 engine brings an amazing step up in peak power with 167 PS @ 6,000 rpm, which is 11% up on its predecessor. With more power from a low 3,500rpm, and all the way up to a higher red line of 7,000rpm, the new Rocket 3 delivers a staggering level of performance.

The Rocket 3 engine also has the highest torque figure of any production motorcycle available to buy, with 221 Nm – an astounding 71% more than its closest competition. With an incredibly flat and rich torque curve, reaching a peak at 4,000rpm, it holds maximum torque all the way through the mid-range, delivering effortless acceleration and response in any gear.

This is the world’s biggest production motorcycle engine featuring several mass optimised performance enhancements; including a new crankcase assembly, new lubrication system comprising dry sump and integral oil tank and new balancer shafts – together giving an 18kg engine weight saving over the previous generation.

The distinctive hydroformed three-header exhaust run is an iconic design detail on both the Rocket 3 R and Rocket 3 GT. This has been innovatively engineered for the perfect exhaust routing, flowing from the header into the combined cat box and onto the triple exit silencer, delivering a distinctive and unique deep growling triple Rocket soundtrack.

For exceptional levels of rider comfort and a commanding level of control over the Rocket 3’s powerful performance, a new ’torque assist’ hydraulic clutch provides the rider with a light clutch action by reducing lever effort. Furthermore, the Rocket 3’s all-new high-performance six-speed helical-cut gearbox is precision-engineered to be smoother, stronger and lighter than a standard gearbox, and is designed specifically to allow for the increased torque capacity of this new generation.

Just like all the latest range of Triumphs, the Rocket 3 engine delivers modern capability with ride-by-wire throttle, as well as a sensitively incorporated liquid cooling system for enhanced performance and an even more efficient ride.

Both Rocket 3 models feature a high first major service interval of 10,000 miles/16,000 km.

PURE MUSCULAR PRESENCE AND MAGNIFICENT STYLE

With beautifully distinctive details, such as the new signature twin LED headlight, including Triumph maker’s mark triangle branding and the sculpted 3-header exhaust run, the new
Rocket 3 line-up has an incredibly imposing poise and stance.

In addition, the all-new lightweight multi-spoke cast aluminium wheels enhance the muscular contemporary style, with the Rocket 3 R’s wheels featuring a beautiful blacked-out finish, while the Rocket 3 GT model goes one step further with exposed machining on rim and spokes. Both models are also fitted with Avon Cobra Chrome tyres, developed especially for the new Rocket 3, with an imposing 240mm rear wheel width. The new tyres have exquisite detailing, and both feature a new tread pattern developed for great grip and high mileage durability.

Contributing to the Rocket 3’s clean, uncluttered styling are the beautifully engineered single-sided swingarm, with offset monoshock suspension and high-value finishing on the bevel box, The stylish internally wired handlebars further reinforce the bike’s muscular feel and commanding riding position. The Rocket 3 R model features roadster-style handlebars, while the Rocket 3 GT model has touring-oriented handlebars enhancing its touring comfort and capability.

Both new Rocket 3 models come with a sculpted rider and pillion saddle, featuring cast aluminium finishers under the seat and creating a unique flowing line through the bike. The set-up for each Rocket 3 has been designed to be easily changed from twin to single seat set-up with optional addition of an accessory infill pad available to further enhance the single seat look. The Rocket 3 R features a roadster rider and pillion saddle, with a low 773mm seat height, while the Rocket 3 GT features a touring rider and pillion saddle set-up with an even more accessible 750mm seat height. The Rocket 3 GT additionally benefits from a brushed aluminium pillion backrest.

For maximum comfort for every rider, each Rocket 3 model offers a range of rider-adjustable ergonomics. The mid-foot controls of the Rocket 3 R have two vertical position settings to choose from (0mm / -15mm), while the Rocket 3 GT offers feet-forward foot controls with three horizontal position choices (-25mm / 0mm / +25mm), and also a height adjustable pillion backrest.

World’s first integrated GoPro control system
The new Rocket 3 motorcycles come ready to be fitted with the ground-breaking motorcycle integrated GoPro control system, which is only available from Triumph. This feature enables GoPro camera operation, which is facilitated by an accessory fitted Bluetooth connectivity module. The connection and control is displayed on the TFT instruments, enabling intuitive video and photo operation via the switchgear.

Turn-by-turn navigation system
Powered by Google, this exclusive Triumph feature facilitates navigation through an accessory Bluetooth connectivity module. Once the rider has selected the route on the ‘My Triumph’ app, the instruments present turn symbols on the screen using simple graphic icons. With this system, the rider has at their disposal a navigation system, a route planner, their final destination and points of interest such as hotels, petrol stations and restaurants.

My Triumph app
For iOSTM and AndroidTM phones, riders can download for free the new My Triumph app, which delivers the connected navigation function. The navigation, route planner, final destination and points of interest (hotels, fuel, restaurants etc.) are all controlled by the rider through this app. Google and Android are trademarks of Google LLC.

Integrated phone and music operation
The new Rocket 3s feature full Bluetooth phone integration, with clear display on the colour TFT instruments, and intuitive phone operation via the switchgear, allowing the rider to select music, control the volume and take calls. This is facilitated through an accessory fitted Bluetooth connectivity module.

Announcing the new 2020 YZF-R1M and YZF-R1 Supersport motorcycles, featuring evolutionary engine refinement, augmented electronic control features, enhanced suspension performance, advanced bodywork with outstanding aerodynamic performance, and next-generation R-Series design.

As the company’s flagship R World models, the new 2020 YZF-R1M (R1M) and YZF-R1 (R1) deliver improved handling and rideability with more electronic control for mastering both the street and track.

Our History. Your Future. We R1.
Yamaha has a rich heritage of building the most sought after Supersport motorcycles designed to deliver the pinnacle of performance on and off the track. Based on 22 years of proven race-winning engineering, the 2020 Yamaha R1M and R1 are forged from the technology and development gained from countless challenges in MotoGP, World Superbike, MotoAmerica Superbike races, and the grueling demands of Endurance World Championship racing. From crossplane crankshaft engines to revolutionary electronics such as the six-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), Yamaha’s historical achievements have become the future of R World.

Refined CP4 Engine
The new 2020 R1M and R1 come equipped with the next generation of Yamaha’s unique 998cc inline four-cylinder crossplane crankshaft engine for refined performance. Returning features such as titanium fracture-split connecting rods and offset cylinders contribute to a responsive and potent character, while the cylinder head, fuel injectors, finger-follower rocker arms, and camshaft profiles are new for 2020.

An all-new Accelerator Position Sensor with Grip (APSG) ride-by-wire system featuring Yamaha’s Chip Controlled Throttle (YCC-T) eliminates throttle cables and reduces weight while providing smoother throttle operation.

Augmented Electronics Package for More Rider Control
The most technologically advanced electronics package in Yamaha’s supersport lineup complements the evolutionary engine of the new 2020 R1M and R1. Yamaha’s proprietary six-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) continues to be the key feature of the package, and processes real-time vehicle attitude and wheel speed data for new Brake Control (BC) technology that gives riders the option to choose between two intervention modes for enhanced braking control. Riders can select a “BC1” setting for enhanced upright, straight-line braking, or a “BC2” setting for enhanced braking into corners, where intervention timing grows faster the deeper the lean angle becomes.

A new Engine Brake Management (EBM) system also allows the rider to select between three levels of engine braking force to suit their individual preference or riding situation on the road or track. Both the BC and EBM settings are adjustable through onboard Yamaha Ride Control (YRC) and Yamaha’s Y-TRAC smartphone (Android only) and tablet app (Android and iOS).

Enhanced Suspension Performance
Premium Öhlins Electronic Racing Suspension (ERS) has been a staple of the R1M’s chassis performance, and a new NPX pressurised front fork with a gas cylinder built into the front fork axle bracket, along with revised rear shock settings to complement the performance of the front fork, are features of the new 2020 model. With rider adjustability options through YRC settings and Y-TRAC, the new Öhlins ERS suspension package takes the R1M to the next level of performance.

The 2020 YZF-R1 also receives suspension performance enhancements courtesy of a new KYB front fork with a new internal shim stack design, and a KYB rear shock with revised internal settings. Together, the changes result in smoother suspension dampening paired with an improved feeling of contact and grip with the street or track surface.

Advanced Bodywork with Next Generation R-Series Design
Redesigned bodywork contributes to higher-quality performance and a more comfortable rider fit. The new design creates a 5.3% increase in aerodynamic efficiency while reducing wind noise and pressure on the rider when in a tucked position, and improved comfort comes from smoother side sections where the rider’s legs contact the bike. The 2020 R1M also receives a new carbon fibre tail cowl to accompany the existing carbon fibre passenger seat cowl.

New lightweight, compact LED twin headlights optimise illumination for both the low and high beam, and combine with the redesigned body styling to create a new front face symbolising the next-generation of R-Series design.

The new 2020 YZF-R1M will be available in limited quantities in a Carbon Fibre colour scheme, while the new 2020 YZF-R1 will be available in Team Yamaha Blue and Raven colour. Pricing and available is TBC.
