BMW S 1000 RR, R 1200 R and F 800 R Pricing Announced

The three new BMW Motorrad models that were announced at the European Motorcycle Shows recently now have confirmed Australian pricing –

S 1000 RR – MRLP of $22,990 +orc.

The “Game Changing” 2010 S 1000 RR re-wrote the sports bike rules. The 2015 model receives significant improvements to ensure it stays well ahead of the pack. There is more mumbo, now up to 199hp (at the crank) and a weight saving of 4kg. The new quick shift pro system works on up and downshifts. The Riding Mode Pro system is again standard and receives a fifth mode called USER, where ABS, DTC and throttle sensitivity can be customized to suit a rider’s preference. Other standard features include cruise control and pinstriped rims.

The Dynamic package- $1,050 includes the following:

Dynamic Damping Control- A system that launched on the HP4 in 2012 has been revised for the RR. DDC continuously adjusts the suspension damping based on many parameters, in so, optimizing handling in any situation. The Dynamic package also includes heated grips and LED indicators.

Forged wheels – $1,850

Light weight and strong for improved handling. The same wheels that are used in many racing classes.

Pillion seat cover – No cost option (replaces pillion seat and pegs).

R 1200 R

The R 1200 R represents BMW’s proud history in the form of a boxer powered roadster, and now it comes with all the mod cons. Powered by the responsive and powerful water cooled engine, it also has riding modes to provide control, comfort and safety for a confident ride. For 2015, the R 1200 R is available in 3 unique variations.

Riders looking for a user friendly and versatile machine will want to check out the F 800 R. In the mid sized naked bike segment the F 800 R is available with more features than others, like ABS and ASC (traction control) systems, ESA (Electronic Suspension Adjustment), RDC (tyre pressure monitoring) as well as heated grips.

The 2015 F 800 R is equipped with sporty upside down forks for improved handling and comfort, as well as radial mounted brakes for improved braking control.
